Measuring & Fit: Getting It Right, Every Time
Accurate measuring is fundamental to delivering uniforms that look sharp, feel comfortable, and perform in real working environments. Depending on the scale, location, and operational needs of each project, we offer multiple measuring and fitting solutions to ensure consistency across teams.
In-Person Measuring & On-Site Fittings
Where required, we provide experienced tailors to carry out in-person measuring and fittings. This approach was used for projects such as The Standard, Brussels, where our team visited site with a full measuring kit to personally fit staff across departments, and at Fortnum & Mason, where every member of staff was measured individually.
Fitting Blocks & Size Sets
For other projects, we work using established fitting blocks and size sets. We regularly send full size runs to clients so teams can try garments on site and confirm the best fit before production. This method allows flexibility while maintaining accuracy, particularly for international projects where travel isn’t practical.
Self-Measuring Guides & Video Support
We provide clear measuring videos and step-by-step documentation to support self-measuring where on-site fitting isn’t an option. These tools are designed to reduce errors, improve confidence, and ensure smooth delivery. See our full Measuring Guide and Video for detailed instructions on chest, collar, waist, hip and inside leg measurements.
Region-Specific Size Blocks
Our size blocks are not one-size-fits-all. We develop and adapt blocks for different regions, recognising that proportions vary between markets such as Asia, Europe, and the United States. This ensures garments are designed to fit the people wearing them, not just a generic size chart.
A Flexible Process Built Around Your Operation
The result is a considered, flexible measuring process that supports both bespoke and stock-supported uniform programmes. Whether your team is in one location or spread across multiple properties globally, we adapt our fitting approach accordingly. For more on how we manage delivery, see our Logistics & Roll Out guide.
